Eurybia lycisca
This butterfly seemed to always land on the underneath of leaves, in Primary Rainforest where it was quite dark, so hard to get a good photo. But it was beautiful flying around, flashing that gorgeous blue.
Primary Rainforest.
I saw this butterfly in Primary rainforest at Selva Verde with Alejandro Esquivel Gaitán. Unfortunately my camera fell into the river before I had a chance to download the photos, so he kindly allowed me to use his photos...
thanks Mark... wish I had the expertise, or the camera, to get the clarity that bayucca does!
thanks bayucca... Lovely spottings of this butterfly you posted.
Congratulations for your 5500th ID! Amazing... I think a good portion of them are mine!

Nice one for my ID #5500.
thanks Gilma... Luckily it was only my little Lumix point and shoot, not my big camera. I already replaced it, but lost a few photos from the rainforest!
Sorry to hear about the camera... : ( That really is a gorgeous butterfly.
