small stag beetle. 22-53mm. japanese name: コクワガタ.

Habitat:

tree trunk. winter is passed as an adult.

Notes:

it was rain, cool day. summer insects are gone, but this stag beetle was still on tree trunk.

thank you! it's cool nowadays. some late cicada still sing but flowers say it's autumn..
