Pacific Black Duckling

Anas superciliosa

Description:

A species duck found throughout Australia. A duck may have from 5 to 14 ducklings (or slightly more) depending on the species. Once hatched, they will follow their mother for about 4 weeks depending on weather and species.

Habitat:

Woodland areas that provide water.

Notes:

These ducklings were adorable! Someone must have fed them before we came because they came running up to us and stayed around us for a while. Their mother was surprisingly friendly towards us as well.
