Orb Spider

Description:

This large Orb Spider seems to have some phenotypic variation, both in the abdominal pattern and in overall color. They do all seem to be the same species. Three different individuals are depicted here, all in close proximity.

Habitat:

Heavy shrubbery along the highway between San Cristobal de Las Casas and Tuxtla Gutierrez, km 11.5, 865 meters.
