Description:

Clean looking, rusty brown (red) breasted bird with dark brown-grey back. Long tail, yellow beak and white ring that circles eye. Mainly a insect eater

Habitat:

Urban to rural areas. Comfortable in both. Builds beautiful mud and grass nest in trees, both fir and other. Raises at least 2 broods a year. Both parents feed the young.Common bird across the USA

Notes:

Love to see these wonderful melodic birds return each spring and hear their clear sweet song. They are the harbinger of Spring. In our area they start to return in February from migration.
