I've heard about these before but never seen them (sorry... pun...) If I'd known they were in my range, I would have looked for them! These ant are 'farming' these aphids. I have a feeling that the relationship is a bit one sided, but apparently the ants protect the aphids from predators. The behaviour is too cool not to share on PN!
