Tree slug

Lehmania marginata

Description:

Small slug, about 5 cm long when extended - mainly greyish-brown with irregular blotches of darker brown colour. It has a very thick and rather large mantle covering over one-third, almost half, of the body, with pneumostome (breathing opening) on the right and by the end of the mantle. Mucus is clear and watery (seen well in pics N° 4 and 5).

Habitat:

Unknown, as the fella was found on celeri leaves, left out on a balcony for over a week after being bought on farmers market. Farms supplying this market are all located in hills and mountains around the Geneva lake.
