This photo doesn't even do it justice. It was a beautiful, brilliant purple. See also http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/389... for more photos of the same mushrooms that my friend took photos of. Purple gills, stems purple but fade to white with age. The cap had wrinkles
Leafy floor at Spring Hammock Preserve
The third photo was of a mushroom very close to this one that was a similar purple color, but it may or may not be the same fungi.
