I'm leaning toward yellow pine.... the map shows it solidly in the range, whereas least is just at the edge. And I"m pretty sure I saw the in eastern cali on the same trip... slightly smaller, and less colorful
Probably least chipmunk or yellow-pine chipmunk based on range and appearance.
