Cephonodes hylas
Large moth with transparent wings.Fuzzy body with terminal part being yellow. Maroon band above the yellow. Mossy green with white stripes above that. Head is green. Abdomen white.
It was lying quietly on the cemented area near a tap in my garden. A couple of ants were on its legs. I picked it up and placed in on the boundary wall where a shaft of early morning sunlight had fallen. The ants dropped off. The moth was very sluggish...may be at the end of its life cycle or just cold?
25 October 2016: It was still where I had placed it for safety but barely stirring. Its wings are really special;http://www.australiangeographic.com.au/blogs/creatura-blog/2015/01/pellucid-hawk-moths-wings-like-invisibility-cloak

Wow Sukanya! I used to see these types of moths during my school days only - not now!
Thanks JamesPriest2. The wings are really crystal-like transparent.
The wings are amazing. Makes it look like a cross between another type of insect
