Description:

This little mouse spent 20 minutes trying to evade us by hiding under the tires of our truck, moving from tire to tire as we edged the truck forward trying to scare it away from harm. Eventually it made a break for is and it now hiding under the tires of our car.

Habitat:

Semi rural

Notes:

White-footed mice carry hantaviruses, which cause severe illness in humans and have also been found to be a carrier of the Lyme disease-causing spirochete, Borrelia burgdorferi.
