Coccinellidae
Sometimes described as "Crocodile-like". The picture speaks for it's self, these are my precious little children.
The nettles are the first thing to grow in my garden and are very quickly covered with aphids. Thankfully, the aphids seem to prefer the nettles over my other plants, at least long enough for the ladybugs to show up and multiply. Until today I had never seen so few aphids on my nettles this time of year, the ladybugs and larva have decimated them, when just last week the undersides of the leaves were caked with the little green bastards. I hope this keeps up so my kale is safe this year.
