Thanks gully, I didn't know it was so rare. You've helped me out a lot with ID and I've finally joined mushroom observer and uploaded this spotting. Now that I'm signed up, I will add some of my other mystery fungi too. I will you keep you posted on an ID.
Very cool, a gilled cup fungi - like half Ascomycota, half Basidiomycota! Would love to know what this is. Consider uploading it to Mushroom Observer where you're more likely to get an ID:
