Ghost Coral

Cladiella australis

Notes:

After an incredible shock, some people have had all their coloured hair fall out so that it seems as though their hair turned white overnight. Ghost Coral can turn white in an instant. It doesn’t have hair though and the shock of something touching it doesn’t make its brown tentacles fall out, they just retreat to reveal its white body. It is probably not scared at all, just pretending to be bleached coral, ‘I am dead, there is no algae in me, eat something else’. Guardian: Matt Casella
