Hermetia illucens
~1 cm in length, found it in compost pile. It definitely belongs to Stratiomyidae sp, but many pupae look similar.
No chickens or livestock, but I did find it in something like a compost pile!
Thank you very, very much, it looks like the right one! :))

Where there any chickens around?
I tried again and I found it :D
So I'm sending you a lot (and a bit more) of luck! :))
I couldn't find mine :(
Since you have them very many, maybe you will be lucky enough to see what they become :)
Definitely not a moth or butterfly caterpillar. It must be a beautiful thing after that ugly larva...
So I guess they're not related, but they really do look alike!!! :)
I wanted to keep mine, but I put it aside for a while and wind blew it away, but tomorrow I will try to find it again! :)
Moths are beautiful, so I'm sure yours won't be an exception! :))
It is a large larva, do not know exactly how many centimeters it has. There are a lot of them in the guava tree. They are ugly. I hope life is kind to them, then they will be a beautiful moth. :D
haha, they really do look alike! :)) But mine is only ~ 1cm in length... Can you say something about yours?
sorry I forgot the link. see, I think similar. http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/333...
