Katydid

Tettigoniidae

Notes:

Loved taking pics of this curious critter! It followed the camera and turned its head in confusion wondering what I was doing haha, glad I could capture its curiosities on camera. =)

This little beauty is a katydid -- closer relative to crickets than grasshoppers. The long antennae are the key -- grasshoppers usually have very short stubby ones. Great spotting -- they are great insects!
