Coachwhip snake

Coluber flagellum

Notes:

This snake did it's best to keep us away including shaking it's tail and raising up and attempting to strike us. Unfortunately on one strike attempt, it impaled it's lower jaw on a cactus needle. A few shakes of it's head and it was free to climb off into a tree.
