Description:

I toom this picture in 2005 on the Carlisle country clubs hole 15 green. I'm familiar with common pa salamander but wasn't convinced it was a longtail.

Habitat:

Creekside golf course environment. Well kept lawn and wet ground

I'm pretty sure this is a Longtail Salamander, the only other mostly red salamander in the state is fatter and the tail is shorter than the length of the body. On your salamander, the tail is incredibly long, but it's too long for the Red Salamander. It's possible yours is either young or is regenerating its tail
