Heheh, yea it was an amazing spot for mushrooms but I was with friends so it was just a short trip.

Thanks Harsha! Yes I know I should have done that like my other mushroom spottings but this was the only one we found and first time to find it so didn't feel like picking it up :).

Looks like it could be a species of Cortinarius, taking photos or making notes of the gills or pores and where they meet the stem greatly improve your chances of getting an accurate ID.

That's a rare color for a mushroom. Nice!

first time i saw it, has a crazy color but could be edible :)
