Rough Green Snake

Opheodrys aestivus

Description:

A lovely, mild-tempered little snake. Not aggressive at all, just a little shy.

Habitat:

Found on a branch in my yard, blending in with the foliage. It was dusk when I found it, and the day was rainy.

Notes:

I'd been hoping to find one of these snakes for a long time. Finally, my first Green Snake encounter, when I wasn't even looking for snakes!

It's wild :)
This species is just very docile.
