Celithemis elisa
Calico Pennant, female Celithemis elisa The wings of this Dragonfly are beautiful. Spotted near a pond. Possible Gray Petaltail: clear wings and yellow spotted.
Doreen, it looks like it has recently morphed from nymph to adult, which is why the wings look whitish. I can see some yellow and black patches on the wings but they are not as clear yet as they could be (the wings need to dry more). The stigmas (the little rectangular spots at the front edges of the wings) are yellow as are the veins on the wings which is consistent with the Calico Pennant females: http://bugguide.net/node/view/188888
