Description:

Numerous individuals, varying in size from 1.2 to 3 cm. Estimate that there were over 2000 specimens within a five meter section of the seawall. This is an isopod, and member of the Crustacea, that originated in Europe, but now ranges into the eastern United States coast.

Habitat:

Rocky seawall, in the splash zone above the low-tide line.
