Agrocybe cylindracea
7cm diameter cap, 2 cm high. smooth light coffee centre fading to nearly white at margin. margin is smooth and entire. near edge there are small veined pits. interior flesh is white. pleasant odor. Gills are crowded and attached to the stem (even decurrent) Gills are pale gray-brown. Spore print is light brown (see picture) Stem: 5-7 cm long, 1.2 wide, even along length. tissuey brown ring 1 cm from top. above ring stem is light colour, below ring stem is darker from brown-gray vertical fibres which get denser towards the bottom turning to scales at base. interior is hollow, flesh white getting darker towards edge. very bottom of stem is very tough.
10+ caps over 9 m^2 area of tended grass in public park
In Phillips and Miller, keys out as Agrocybe. Possibly A. molesta, A. dura, A. erebia, A. praecox. In Arora keys out to Cortinarius which does not seem right. Merci a le CEMA pour l'indentifie
