Crax rubra
These are large birds (78–100 cm (31–39 in) in length and 3.1–4.8 kg (6.8–10.6 lb) in weight. The female has brown body and barred speckeld wings, upper parts, tail and crest. To see this birds is relatively common in the area of Volcan Arenal but you must keep an eye up on the trees because they are quiet animals. These were in a group and there was also a male which I will show next.
