About 25mm wingspan; very dark wings with some narrower, lighter wavy bands; similar shape to the old Vulcan bombers in the UK

Habitat:

On a wall just outside a national park.

Spot on with Larentiinae Tamar. I had to get the really big guns here to get the rest of it though. :)

I think, yes, Geometridae, it reminds me of one of the Carpets. Try Subfamily Larentiinae. I don't think I can do better than that right now.
