Jumping Spider (Salticid)

Siler cupreus

Description:

3~6 mm long.

Habitat:

This one was in tall grass beside a small river.

Notes:

For size reference, it's on my blue jeans. In the first picture, that's the stitching on the inseam. Edit: Many thanks to ChunXingWong for identifying it!

I was able to find one image that included its abdomen, and yes, it's the same species. Thanks again!

Thanks, ChunXingWong! I gave you credit in the notes for IDing it.

I will look for file containing the other sighting and see if I can positively ID it as the same species. I don't recall the abdomen having the same markings, but my memory isn't perfect. =}
