Baeolophus atricristatus
Small gray bird with a black crest. It has rust unnderparts, a short black bill, and light coloring on its' face.
These frequent my backyard. They can be found in brushlands, woods, and groves.
Fun Facts: 1. This titmouse hybridizes with the Tufted Titmouse. 2. Evidence shows that the divergence of the two breeds occurred about 250,000 years ago. 3. This bird also goes by the name "Mexican Titmouse". Ref: https://www.birdorable.com/blog/fun-fact...
