Stick Mantis

Austrovates variegata (male nymph)

Description:

I not entirely sure about this one... but I think it's a Archimantis sp nymph. It was about 7cm long, adopting the posture of grass stems or twigs. It was very difficult to make out among the grass.

Habitat:

Found among grasses at ground level on cattle station, in area of tropical grassland.
