Preocular Blind Snake

Description:

smooth, slender, about 4" long, dark brown/blackish body, light brown head. strange worm/snake like creature

Notes:

I spotted this during a night hike in Rio Claro reserve. It looked a bit like a worm but moved like a snake. Extremely difficult to photograph, it was constantly on the move, looking to hide. It would go under a leaf and stop moving. As soon as I moved the leaf, it was off again, making it difficult to photograph. I picked it up to try and get some better shots, but it was still a challenge. I have video of this also, which I will add later.
