Wood Frog

Lithobates sylvaticus

Description:

This lovely Wood Frog was picked up by a boy on my Cross-country team. Unfortunately, and sickeningly, the boy tried the throw the frog onto a nearby roof. The frog was luckily okay, and I retrieved it before it could be taken by the boy again. I returned it a distance away into the woods.

Habitat:

Deciduous/coniferous woodlands near a field.

What the boy did is kinda disturbing. Nice spot. Glad it was safely returned to the woods. I love seeing these frogs.
