Grey Coral

Clavulina cinerea

Description:

Smoke-grey irregularly branched coral fungus with tinges of purple, growing in big clumps. There appeared to be two-forms, one with blunt and rounded tips and the other showing pointy branched, paler tips. They were about 50 mm tall.

Habitat:

Under eucalyptus trees in a damp eucalyptus forest. http://bie.ala.org.au/species/9b4662e7-8...

Notes:

These can grow upto 90 mm high. Order: Cantharellales Family :Clavulinaceae
