Grasshopper

Description:

Green grasshopper. Dark patch on back and at the "joints"of the hind legs.

Habitat:

Suntaley Khola is a remote hilly and forested area by the River Murty. This grasshopper was spotted in the weeds lining the verge of the only road leading to the resort we stayed in.

Notes:

Great jumper that is even better at camouflage. There were many grasshoppers but whether different species or the same one at different stages of development is difficult for me to say. Please compare: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/457...
