Asian Forest Centipede

Scolopendra subspinipes

Description:

The animal is quite rare so it was kept alive and brought back into the wilderness. Because it is dangerous and has a very painful poisonous bite the specimen is photographed within the plastic bag. Size about 20cm.

Habitat:

The specimen was found in the bathroom of the house. Thai people say, that these animals only approach villages and houses when heavy rain will occur the next days. And in fact, in that case it was true.
