Description:

Quite chatty, 'busy-body' birds that always provide you with some entertainment... especially the way they hop around when scavenging for food which ranges from birds/chicks/eggs and fruit. The plumage is black, white, blue (third photo) and green (second photo - tail feathers). The beak and leg colours are dark grey/black.

Habitat:

All year residents in the UK. Found across England, Wales and Northern Ireland, but more localised in Scotland, although not found in the highlands.

Notes:

One of the few animal species that can recognise itself in a mirror test - Wikipedia.
