Rusty tussock moth caterpillar

Orgyia antiqua

This is a spotting from last year, yesterday i saw another one so decided to post this here for an identification. This beautiful caterpillar was in my garden on the raspberry plant, I was wondering who or what was eating the leaves of my plants, now I found the perpetrator so gently removed him and dropped him of in the nearby forest. Although i'm curious at it's next stage, moth or butterfly?

Tussock Moth caterpillar. Looks similar to the Fir Tussock Moth caterpillar we have here in the States. Should be in the Arthropod category.
