Spotting

Description:

The top of the dome is rounded, fibrous, almost hairy, and has an indention in the center. Underneath the cap is hardly any flesh and is very thin; the gills are relatively thin. The base is growing at a 90 degree angle to vertical.

Habitat:

Spotted in a Longleaf Pine habitat

Notes:

Found hiking in River Creek WMA near Thomasville, GA
