Family Agelenidae
The unique web of this group of spiders is more often noticed than the spider itself. It is sheetlike, usually positioned horizontally, with a funnel leading downward. This large web covered about one square foot, or .3 square meters. The funnel hole was slightly less than 1 inch or 2.5 cm.
