Congratulations Lisa, your beautiful Copperhead is our Spotting of the Day:
"Beautiful detail on the eye and snout of this Copperhead (Agkistrodon contortrix), our Spotting of the Day! This snake in the subfamily Crotalinae (pit vipers) is endemic to Eastern North America. The copperhead's head is rather distinct from the rest of its patterned body, with a solid, rich brown color. Make sure to check the spotting to discover multiple shots showing the whole snake in its habitat".
