California Coastal Seaside Daisy

Erigeron glaucus

Description:

Small daisy-like flowers on a rock loving plant with thick, curled, fuzzy leaves. These grow like a ground cover on the cliffs at the tip of Santa Cruz Island and is a species endemic to the California coast. The 4th picture is of very tiny ones struggling to survive in an area with hard cracked dirt close to the cliff edge.

Habitat:

Channel Islands, Santa Cruz Island, North Bluff Trail.
