Dhub

Uromastyx sp.

Description:

Dhub (AKA: Dhab, or Spiny-Tailed Lizard; Arabic: الضب) spotted in the desert near Al Jaber, Kuwait. This one was much smaller than the other I have seen (under 12"), and the only one that had stripes on it. Not sure if it is a juvenile of the same species as the large yellow one I saw earlier (Uromastyx aegyptia microlepis), or another type of spiny-tailed lizard...

Notes:

The large yellow Dhub I saw a few weeks earlier and be seen here: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/211...

The tail looks even more spikey on this one than on the other ones you took.
