Body length 10mm, grass-green in colour with yellow grid lines on thorax, with two red patches that contains black spots that resembles a face. Head with green and yellow lines.
Spotted during a day walk at Kebun Raya Cibodas, a 80ha area above 1.400 metres high, mix of botanical park with big trees & palms and surrounded by rainforest at the foot of Gene volcano, Java - Indonesia.
They feed on flowers, berries and growing tips, injecting a toxic saliva that often contains the spores of the Ashbya fungus, and then suck juices out. Kingdom: Animalia Phylum: Arthropoda Class: Insecta Order: Hemiptera Family: Pentatomidae Genus: Antestiopsis
