A bumblebee mimicking robber fly eating a bee or a wasp
Hanging around a pile of tree clippings from a cherry laurel, some bushes, and palm tree flowers (which attracted the many bees and wasps that it was hunting)

Mallophora bomboides looks correct. BB mimic robberfly
