Description:

Old brackets of Lenzites betulina. Caps hemispherical; approximately 3 inches wide; concentric zones visible, mainly gray-white with faded zones of pale oranges and browns. Undersides have white ‘gills,’

Habitat:

Growing on a fallen log, by the Orange Rail, on the floodplain for the Oconee River.

Notes:

Gills on the underside of the brackets distinguish Lenzites betulina from Turkey Tail (Trametes versicolor) which has pores on the underside.
