Polyommatus coridon
Males of this Lycaenidae species have pale silvery-blue wings on a brownish background, while females are chocolate brown. The underside markings are distinctive. As suggested by its English common name the Chalkhill blue is found on chalk and limestone lands.
Bush heath, around tree limit, alt. 1700 m. Last shot shows the habitat.
This butterfly is found in the Palearctic ecozone.
