White mulberry

Morus alba

Description:

The fruit turns from red to black when ripe and is edible. I found several of these trees growing wildly along the river mixed with willow trees. Height around 25 ft.

Habitat:

Spotted along the Columbia river in eastern Washington.

Notes:

Native to China.
