Firefly Imitating Moth

Rhabdatomis sp.

Description:

This small moth is about the same size (1 cm) and color as one of the local Fireflies (Beetle, Lampyridae). It's flight period also overlaps that of the Firefly. To see the Firefly: http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/228....

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden (along with many Fireflies), San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.

Notes:

Arctiidae, Lithosiinae, Rhabdatomis sp. as identified by bayucca http://www.projectnoah.org/spottings/204.... I didn't realize at that time that it was imitating the local Firefly.

Muchas gracias Juan :) La polilla y la luciérnaga son del mismo tamaño también.
