Hibiscus martianus
Native to South Texas. Large showy flower about 3 in. across that attracts butterflies and hummingbirds. Heart-shaped leaves. Grows 1 to 3 ft high. Blooms year-round, even in the heat of summer when others have wilted or not as showy.
Spotted in a butterfly garden at Resaca De La Palma State Park.
