Groundscraper thrush

Psophocichla litsitsirupa

Description:

Blackbird sized attractive thrush, I see it often in a typical upright stance, most of the time on the ground. White and heavily spotted in black below, with a grey coat and black and white pattern on the face.

Habitat:

Here seen at outskirts of settlements in an open acacia woodland; dry region of Kunene of north-western Namibia. And the couple is a regular visitor of a small patch of lawn in a guesthouse where we are staying.
