A long-legged Snipe Fly of the Family Rhagionidae. These are usually predators (haematophagous) on other insects, with piercing mouthparts. This one was about 8 mm long.
Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
