Description:

Huge, heavy bodied Sphinx Moth, about 7 cm long. The upper wings were bark-like in coloring and the under wings were banded in black and white. Family Sphingidae.

Habitat:

Came to an ultraviolet light in the garden, San Cristobal de Las Casas, 2,200 meters.
